Salman Khan stepped forward to pay off Aftab’s father Mahesh Singh’s loan.

Rising Star 3 winner Aftab Singh is on cloud nine ever since he took home the trophy and prize money of Rs 10 lakh. After the win, the 12-year-old singer from Faridkot, Punjab had expressed his desire to sing for superstar Salman Khan. And now a recent report claims that recently when Salman Khan visited the reality show sets as a celebrity guest, he stepped forward to pay off Aftab’s father Mahesh Singh’s loan.

During the episode, Aditya Narayan (the host) had revealed Aftab and his father, Mahesh Singh’s life struggles. He also shared how Mahesh had to take Rs 3 lakh loan to get the roof of their house repaired. And now a report by Mumbai Mirror claims that Salman has paid off that debt.

Aftab was youngest among other three finalists. “My father is my inspiration. He has struggled a lot in his life. I don’t belong to a rich family. I have seen my father’s hardwork. He has done a lot to make me reach at this platform. It’s not my win … It’s his win,” Aftab told IANS. He also revealed that he wants to give his prize money to his parents for his sister’s wedding.

Hosted by Aditya Narayan, the third season of Colors TV show Rising Star was judged by Shankar Mahadevan, Neeti Mohan and Diljit Dosanjh.
